WILDLIFE 2024
Online juried slide exhibition with playlist and PDF catalogue
JURORS/CURATORS: ANDRÉ LAROCHE & LOUIS JONCAS
DESIGNER: KATE PARKINSON
The Aird’s 2024 WILDLIFE project is juried by Montreal Gallerists, André Laroche and Louis Joncas. Some artists they selected for this online exhibition express a profound appreciation for the natural world. But many of the pieces Laroche and Joncas selected transcend scientific representation, operating on what might be described as a supernatural level. Organized into three succinct sections, air, water, and earth, by the WILDLIFE designer Kate Parkinson, the group project can be read as a science fantasy in what’s left of the worldwide woods or a contemporary version of Noah’s Ark.
